Texture/Concept Artist, Voice Actor LF Work - Dreadnaught - 02-17-2008
Hey there. I didn't know where to post this so I figured I'd post here. I was wondering about available job positions for this wonderful mod as I am looking to get in on a large project. I am skilled with the following things:
Texturing/Re-texturing
Concept Art (All types; http://dreadnaught86.deviantart.com )
Voice acting (Did Amozabael in b3w4r3's Dremora Companion mod, misc parts in various flash cartoons; Can do many voices including a very good Imperial and Khajiit)
Writing (Concepts, stories, dialogues, questlines, etc.)
Promotion (Trailers, advertising, etc.)
I am hoping to get in on this project as I am dying to see Elsweyr in TESIV. I am an active modder and have been since October '06. If there's anything else you need to know, don't hesitate to ask.

I'm pretty good with it. I know my way around. Done some custom races and such as well as some armor and junk.

Hello and welcome!
Why don't you let me know why you want to see an Elsweyr mod, that way we can see what you're passionate about and you get you working on that, which will be more productive. Of course mundane things need doing too, but its good to have at least one pet project when you dedicate time to a mod.
On an unrelated note, looking over your DA page, I was pleased to notice bloodlines on there. I start Requiem for Rome chronical wiht my group tomorrow, fun sutff.

Well the main reason why I want to see Elsweyr in Oblivion is because I long for the desert plains, the dunes, the architecture and culture. Native Khajiit culture has always inspired me, especially because of the desert setting.
Ah, awesome in regards to the Requiem stuff. I absolutely love VTM related stuff.

If you are interested in the following check the trailer - we have made progress, but if it is to be a custom piece from a mixture of game resources and unique bits then there is room for serious input on both sides ... modelling and even cartoons? Storytelling overdubs mixed with musical emphasis ... ?
... and I guess you have heard bobbyhood's music - when I asked for Sheherezade and Rimskycorsakov (you spell it correctly) I was astounded by what arrived. And it was the essential empathy and humour in his work and JKJ's drawings that made me feel that I would like the musicians to be comical = set things up for the newly devised tragedy to follow
sequentially:
- wide open spaces - humour - sharing - ancient story - RAIDERS! - kidnapping - the bereft - the hunt begins!

Yes I have listened to some of the music and I must say it is definitely fitting. The trailer example seemed like something that would really draw Elsweyr enthusiasts in as well as brand new fans.

Sure hope so - you know something like the trailer intro that bobbyhood put together has been done before, but it is so well timed and balanced graphically to the written content that it is immensely effective.
That reminds me we will have to consider putting some sort of distinct Elsweyr background in place of the Oblivion menu backgrounds - with a Colour Palette that balances or blends with our banner to give people the sense that they are in new territory and the rules may therefore be slightly different.
