Anyone had problems with the new BSA?? - Shakes - 04-17-2008
Hey guys.
Haven't had the chance to do any modding since the BSA came into effect. Since installing that ive had crash problems in the CS when loading different areas in the view window. At first I thought it was just the region im working on, but I did some testing and its most places.
Heres what Ive done since modding a month and a bit ago:
- Dl'ed the BSA and placed in the Data folder
- Altered a line each in Oblivion.ini and the cs.ini in line with the instructions
- Dl'ed the latest modding esm and placed it in the Data folder.
Is there something im missing? I might have to do a reinstall if no one has any ideas...

Is there any chance you altered the wrong Oblivion ini? Because that's happened to a few users, that they edit Oblivion_default.ini instead of Oblivion.ini. Then again I guess that should only have an effect when playing and not when working in the CS. The other explanations I can think of is:
- that the downloaded bsa is corrupt
- renaming the bsa
- writing the wrong filename in the ini files
- forgetting the bsa's file ending in the ini files
- keeping the meshes\st folder (which might cause a conflict)
Could any of those explanations be it?

Did you change the bsa in the folder where your saves are stored?
