Help! - Zurin Silverstar - 12-08-2005
Hello all. I'm a newcomer to this forum, brought here by an urgent need... I recently came upon Silgrad Tower through the signature of a member of the Morrowind official forums, and thought it looked quite spiffy. I downloaded it, and extracted all the files to their proper folders.
When I tried to play my current character and see the new sights, I get this set of error messages, in this order:

(These last two were not a mistake, there was no number between the quotation marks)
Then it would crash to the "Morrowind had encountered a problem and needs to close" window, then to desktop.
Please, anyone that can help, please do! I don't want to lose all my progress

Hi Zurin Silverstar, and welcome to Silgrad Tower!

If you've played and saved the game with a mod installed and later unload the mod, that can produce the kind of errors you report. Your savegame keeps information about all sorts of changes that take place in the game, and if those changes originate from a mod that you later unload, the game will get mightily confused. For example npc X is supposed to have this and that object but the object doesn't exist (since the mod it's in isn't loaded), and things like that.
Simply installing the Silgrad Tower mod shouldn't cause those problems in saved games. Did you happen to untick a mod you used to play with when you started playing our mod? Because that would be my first bet in finding an answer to your problem.
I'm confident you haven't lost your progress in the game, you'd just need to backtrack to your latest clean save and resume the game with the mods you had loaded at that time and it should be fine.
