Ok, first off the reason I created this topic is so I can provide regular, detailed, and organized updates to the Hla Oad part of the mod. As some people know I (timmay) am taking over this project from Dave_91 who is moving on to developing Maar Gan. I would like to welcome any and all opinions from each user, in terms of constructive criticism and ideas for additions to Hla Oad. Right now I am new to this mod team so I would be grateful if people could provide me lore information and anything I need to know about current times in Vvardenfell that will influence my building of this village. You can look at individual statuses by checking the "Status:" message to the right of the item. Read below to find out what different status messages mean. If you want to know more about a specific list, make sure to read the special notes at the bottom of the list and if I didn't cover your question, don't hesitate to ask. I have the landmass heightmap and shack tileset, which basically means I can start developing the town with the CS now. I could however use any other textures and meshes we have that are exclusive to this mod (like plants, books, armor, weapons, etc.), but it is not essential at the moment.

Umm.. .we aren't quite working on quests yet, I don't think... but no default Morrowind quests!

No, its a relatively stagnant village, and I think we should keep all of the people there, and add a few

2. Does House Hlaalu still control Hla Oad, or has it been taken over, etc.
yeap, Great House Hlaalu controls this small port...

3. Are we assuming the Nerevarine completed all Morrowind quests when he passed through or should we keep some (if any) original Morrowind quests
no, we start with all new quests, you'd think those quests would've been completed by somebody within 6 years

4. Do we want to hide anything special in Hla Oad, powerful items, expensive items, etc.
possibly, but nothing amazingly strong... its just a quiet town, but some interesting things may be smuggled through... like Dwemer items and ore and drugs.... and arrows and weapons etc.

5. Are there any quest objects I need to place in Hla Oad that are referencing a quest from another place
not at this time, we just want the exteriors, then interiors to be done, then the NPCs and quests and creature spawn points, etc. and lastly the main quest

no, we start with all new quests, you'd think those quests would've been completed by somebody within 6 years

But keep in mind that one quest in MW involves freeing a slave from that town, and/or killing her slave master. If anyone did that quest within those 6 years, then those people should be gone Wink.

yeah, you're right on that one... but let's just say that the Khajiit got brought to her destination by a willing person, if you look at how Dunmerare, more likely than not someone would've done so for a fellow f'lah than be a 'moral person' (to them servin' up slaves like that IS moral)... so let's just say that the Khajiit is dead

Well it's going Ok, I have a few NPC's done for the most part, but I am waiting for SACarrow to get back to me on the tileset, which I have, but I'm having problems with the texture and mesh match up. I also need a leader to confirm the other ideas I had for more expansion to the town.
