I think that someone playing the game also supported the Akavir thing, but said that the info came as hearsay from a Mages' Guild NPC, meaning that it's really just a rumor that could explain his disappearance. My personal belief here is that we should let the Nereverine's fate remain in obscurity so that it can fit into anyone's older story. Vivec's disappearance we should explore, explain, and possibly resolve. (It'd be an interesting idea as our hero would basically be an anti-Nereverine, slaying Daedra in Cyrodiil and helping the survivor of the Tribunal in Morrowind.)
 anti-Nerevarine... in both ways...
help Sixth House or help Tribunal, both ways... anti-Nerevarine....
and piss off Azura in any case... Big Grin

when it comes to telvani from my understanding of TES: Lore They wouldent have gained or lost any influence but would be more agresive to outlanders ecpecialy considering that slavery was banned and most of the slave trade happened in Telvani Teritory also it would make it hardert to get "test Subjects" for there Magical Experiments . Telvani Is Neutral until it effects Telvani so my best guess would be that it would consider the grand council as an imperial puppet government and might directly defy it if it suits telvanis intrest.

Since when did the Telvanni obey the law if it restricted them from doing something? Build outside of their territory, kill, take over, recruit, take hostages,...

but they aren't answering to relatively peaceful working Imperial officials...
they are now faced with an aggressive and ruthless but cunning Helseth, not quite all for Empire, and has his own motives

Greetings, this is my first post here but I popped in because I decided to check up on how the mods of morrowind where coming today, since I was reading both the lore forum and the mod forum at the TES site, anyway, I knew you guys were planning to do segments of morrowind but I came around to see how you were dealing with the info regarding it (loss of neverar, vivec, rise and decline of houses, nord hostility, etc.) Anyway, that's why I was here.

However I just registered to add another nod to the fact that the gossip in cyrodiil claims the Nerevar went to Akavir, and also, I wanted to suggest something.

Perhaps, since Beth likes to do a good job of not singling out any specific person when referancing important characters, it could be possible that the reason the pocket guide says "Vivec too may have been killed, but his fate is currently undetermined" is because he's a significant character, that the player could have possibly killed.

I know for example, in one of my games after realizing the greater scope of the nerevarine's roll from Azura, I killed Vivec just to bring about an end to the tribunal completely in my own game's universe.

It's similiar to the daggerfall events being referred to as the warp of the west, it doesn't pigeonhole one concept. So I think (and obviously it's your disgression, I'm just a random passer byer) it may be best those guys simply at a state of "missing" when it comes to the story/questing of your mod.

In any case, best of luck and I know I atleast look forward to what you guys have to offer.

I agree with you, just as best to leave the Nerevar and Vivec out of the Mod, no matter how much we *cough*notme*cough* want them

hey, i just had thought... with the tribunal now gone, what do you guys think will become of the more religious sided Redoran and Indoril? do the worship Vivec all the more fanatically? do they crumble?

crumble or in deniable... plus the details are vague or unknown, only close high priests would know anything semi-substantial...
and I think in our mod, Vivec will be kidnapped by Daedra
