Stores, Buying and Stealing
Howdy

I would really like to try something new for stores, in Kragenmoor for starters but if it works then maybe for all stores

Instead of picking up an item and being called a thief

how about items can be picked up, but if you try to leave without paying for them their is a chance that the guard or store owner will notice.

It would go like this

Walk into a store and pick the items you want to buy or steal

Talk to the store owner and pay of them and all is fine
Payment would take longer because each item would have to be payed or indiviually.

OR

When picking the item up a message box will ask if you wish to steal it or buy it...whichever is easiest to impliment

If you steal anything:

When you head toward the door and activate it, thier will be a chance that the guard will halt you and ask you to surrender the un-paid items and also to pay a fine, go to jail or resist

If this is at all possible then we should give it a try, it would make the shopping experience much more believable

Also along the lines of the guards, we should have a new class called "Store Security"

They should have a keener sense in order to have a better chance of catching the thief, but un-like the guards, their should also be a chance they can be bribed to look the other way.

Any suggestions, ideas, ways to make this better please let me know

Enjoy
Bob

Dont know if this could be done. Maybe with scripts, better to ask a scripter.
But here's something i would add: There would have to be a recall/intervention blocker in this int. So if you steal something, you cant escape with it.

Yes, I always thought that the 'market stall' style of shopping in MW was a bit boring, and that more supermarket style traders were needed. Let's build a Tesco in kragenmoor! :bananarock:
Will start working again for TES3 Project soon....sometime.

What about unlimited items? What i mean is when you buy/steal something from the display case it will leave empty space. You would have to write a script that would fill it back with that item.

I suppose this could be done by script as well, though for really really rare and unique items we wouldn't want this to happen.

No i was talking about normal items, i would not even display unique and/or expensive items like daedric. Or items wich worth more than let's say 15 000 gold. Again because of stealing.

Agreed

The very expensive Items should be "Display Only"
