Retextures are far from simple.Did you mean recolors? Recolors are still hard to do but no where as hard as making retextures which are also called reskins.

I have no experience in either, I just always heard that reskining or retexturing or recoloring was a whole lot easier that doing an entirely new model, which is what a lot of armor will need to be.
