- Seniosh - 02-21-2007 Ahh yes the confusion... that'd be a very very cool touch. Thanks for reminding us and condensing all the ideas into a summed post. I'll try to fill the forest with evil things and dungeons then. (agh real life's reared it's ugly head! stupid extracurricular activities) - bob196045 - 02-21-2007 Confusion can be a good thing once you've reached a certain age Enjoy Bob - bob196045 - 02-22-2007 :idea1: Picking up debri This could apply to other areas as well, I'm sure its something that can be done through script or other method But for the Forgotten forest, what if you could pick up and move debri to uncover something beneath and have a hidden danger, a creature, small of course (rats seem popular) that once the debri is picked up the creature is activated and attacks the player Just like the snake under a rock Enjoy Bob - IAMTHEEMPEROR - 02-22-2007 Well, hate to say this, but I will be stepping down as Steward of the Forgotten Forest. I'm gonna devote the time to Ebbedin, as I found it too hard to do two projects at once. Sorry y'all, but I can't do it. Best of luck to the next Steward, hope to see some cool stuff. - bob196045 - 02-22-2007 ;( Well I'm sorry to here that, I am sure you would have done a great job on it. But Ebbedin will have a good Steward  Best of luck on that project And if ya need anything in that area Enjoy Bob - Seniosh - 02-22-2007 Hmm good luck to whoever next takes the helm, in the mean time, the thought of having to uncover new things (literally) is very awesome. It would definitely be do-able. Something that just disappears when you activate it, or moves aside. Just mentioning rats, wouldn't it be cool if we had, somewhere in the forest, a rat that you could use as a weapon? Like a rat-flail. Cool easter egg (of course that's just sidetracking) So any ideas as to who will take over? And is it obvious that the post is open again? Cause it's useless to call for another steward if nobody sees it. - bob196045 - 02-22-2007 Yes to whomever It was picked up pretty quick but I haven't seen any other maybe the position needs to be reposted Its still showing as claimed. Rat Flail :lmao: I like it the idea of moving objects isn't new but its definitly something that was missing from MW you could not move rocks or tree limbs or other debri unless you had a mod which allowed it and again that was limited But it just makes sense, if your in the forest or in rocky terrain you should be able to move things, pick them up and drop them in other places, so if you pick a rock up, thier got to be some mathematical chance that you will uncover something else Makes sense ********************** Bobs said: Congrats IATE May your Stewardship be long and prosperous !!! Maybe I jinx'ed it Sorry *********************** Enjoy Bob - Seniosh - 02-23-2007 Hmm if you havok'd all the rock models you'd theoretically be able to move any rock you chose, so long as you were strong enough. That would be a big job though. Ahh but think, just havok like 20 models and then every rock in TAMRIEL has havok! That'd be awesome beyond words... I think i'll have to create a rat flail as a weapon now... (step 1, nail rat to a stick by tail, step 2, swing rat flail at enemy) - Razorwing - 02-23-2007 Physics in big models doesn't work very well, or so my tests seem to indicate. I've been fiddling with physiqing gravestones, because I find it wickedly fun to knock them over, but they behave like a misc item and fly all over the place. I haven't found any Oblivion nifs like that which I could've gleaned tips from. - Seniosh - 02-23-2007 Hmmm... well why do bodies stay at rest (more or less) Ever tried dragging someone somewhere? doesn't work. Maybe check out that? I'm pretty sure that someone's made a draggable bodies mod, so prehaps ask what they changed, and then add that to your tombstones to make them more like bodies. Also, in oblivion (the realms) There are rockslides, with havok'd rocks that can crush you, and can be rolled. But the large ones are very very hard to drag. Check those out. |
