- Quentin Fortune - 10-22-2005 I must say I like it very much, it has a lot of a movie score which is a good thing (for me at least) and I'm really looking forward to see the pictures together with the score. But I must also say that Anaglyph's score is much more after my liking for it has more drive, verve and drama. Among my favourites are the Jack Sparrow theme from PotC for example or the music that's underlying the fight scenes in Gladiator (Hans Zimmer rules) and Anaglyph's main title theme is much closer to that. Nevertheless it's a nice piece and thanks for the link. Greetings Quentin - Anaglyph - 10-22-2005 Yikes! High praise indeed! You're too kind, guys. I wasn't all that keen on the Oblivion title theme at first, but it's grown on me a bit after a few listenings. Still prefer Morrowind, though: it just seems more complete as a piece of music; but the new piece will probably make more sense structurally when heard in its proper context. I'll try and get some new stuff written in the next week. Been a bit busy the last few days so haven't had much time for composing. - Anaglyph - 12-28-2005 Hi guys. Just popping in to apologize for my absence and lack of updates. I haven't done a runner, just been very busy. Fortunately that nasty old real life has at last shown me mercy, so I'll be able to get back to the composing now. I'll post an update in the next few days. - Razorwing - 12-29-2005 Good to hear from you again, Anaglyph! I was beginning to wonder if you had left us. On a project like this, if you stick around long enough, you get used to people coming and going. Some permanently, unfortunately... I'm glad you're not one of them. I'm looking forward to the update, and the prospect of our team featuring even more of your wonderful music. - dwemer lizard - 01-12-2006 X( my famaly has 2 computers the good new 1 is mine the old 1 with internet is of my parents and the old computer isnd even capable of downloading......music Anaglyph's music to by precise - noremorse - 01-12-2006 Well, you could take your computer to your parents and connect it to the internet. - Anaglyph - 01-14-2006 Quote:Originally posted by Razorwing Nah, I intend to stick around. Of course, you never know when real life will throw a spanner in the works, but barring that I'll still be here. Ok, finally managed to get the "main theme" sorted out. Basically, I've simply removed the middle section. If you guys are happy with it, I'll start on the sampler work, but if you think anything still needs to be done to it, let me know. Main theme link - Razorwing - 01-14-2006 Anaglyph: It sounds perfect! :goodjob: - Quentin Fortune - 01-14-2006 Like Razorwing says ... Oh, and if anyone of you has the chance ... my PC is connected with my stereo amplifier and I was curious what would happen, if this wonderful piece of music is backed up by 2 x 70 Watt instead of the 2 x 10 Watt of my PC Speakers ... Breathtaking! I might have to apologize to my neighbours tomorrow (that is those in my house, those in the houses right and left of mine and those across the street), but it was worth every second. Greetings Quentin - noremorse - 01-14-2006 Wow. It's outstanding! The only part that I did not like at all comes at about 2:29. I don't know if it's possible, but what would it sound like to make the organ a trumpet instead? |
