Reasons to use OBSE - Ibsen's Ghost - 03-20-2010
Please post in this thread any good reasons to use OBSE. This will help us to decide whether we should indeed go ahead and make BM dependent on it. Please post up any mods or ideas that are likely to be used and will require OBSE.- Music Implementation (thanks to Xaeaix for pointing this out).
- River Sailing: An Idea . Some of the mods mentioned in connection with this idea require OBSE.

I have worked on saliable ships before, gave me a cracking headache. But yeah OBSE is a must for something like that.

Regarding the ships, would a rideable canoe creature be able to avoid using OBSE?

You can look at the list of commands that OBSE adds to the game to see what it can do for this project.
The only question is: Are there any situations where any of those commands would be necessary or nice to have?

Xaeaix has said that implementing the new music would be far easier with OBSE, but that could be an addon I guess....

I'm unsure exactly how the canoe creature will work, I have no experience with animation and very little with modelling, If it's done like mountable creatures then I'm sure we can avoid the use of OBSE.

I think I remember TFS saying that his quicksand mod uses OBSE. So yeah, add that one to the list.

Ah, yeah. Now I remember. That's what really swung the debate in favour of OBSE, I seem to recall.
