Bitter Coast "Latrys North" [Claimed]
<span style="font-size: 8px;">See <a href="http://www.silgrad.com/wbb2/thread.php?threadid=8005" target="_blank">Information for Region Modders</a> for <span style="color: red;"><b>important</b></span> modding information.</span><br />
<span style="color: blue;"><div align="center"><b>Claimed by <a href="http://www.silgrad.com/wbb2/profile.php?userid=3346" target="_blank">blackbird</a>!</b></div></span><br />
<br />
<div align="right" style="border-bottom:1px solid #000000; padding-top:3px;padding-bottom:3px"><strong>What is the Bitter Coast?</strong></div><br />
<br />
<img style="padding-right: 3px" src="http://oblivion.silgrad.com/tng/T.jpg" alt="I" title="T" width="59" height="59" align="left" >he Bitter Coast is the humid, swampy region covering the eastern coast of our landmass as well as the western coast of Vvardenfell. Old ES Veterans will probably be very familiar with the Bitter Coast. <img src="images/smilies/tongue.gif" border="0" alt="Tongue" title="Tongue" /> Bordering the Bitter Coast on our landmass is the Deepen Meadows to the southwest, Ashunor Valley and Steadhelm to the west, and the Reich Parkeep region to the northwest. <br />
<br />This particular claim is for the Bitter Coast for all of Northern Latrys Island. Please consult <a href="http://gallery.silgrad.com/albums/userpics/SilgradTowerMap_TES4_CitiesRegions.jpg" target="_blank">the region map</a> for details on our landmass, see also the attached map. There are two areas that can be generated, but they could also be reserved for quests or whatnot. Those two optional areas are indicated on the attached map. <br />

<br />
The land is bitter, the air is bitter, the water is bitter, such is why the Bitter Coast is appropriately named. Few people know their way around, making the Bitter Coast an ideal locale for bandits whose caves dot the region.
<br />
<div align="right" style="border-bottom:1px solid #000000; padding-top:3px;padding-bottom:3px"><strong>Roads and Population</strong></div><br />
This area of the Bitter Coast may be <i>slightly</i> inhabited if you wish. You should use SACarrow's shack tileset, as their platforms make them suitable for soggy ground.<br />
<br />
Roads should lead to any villages you create. Otherwise you may add roads sparingly as the region is sparsely populated.<br />
<div align="right" style="border-bottom:1px solid #000000; padding-top:3px;padding-bottom:3px"><strong>Reference</strong></div><br />

Here are a few screenshots showing typical <i>Bitter Coast</i> scenes from our TES3 mod, in case they can inspire.<br />

I would like to try this. I don't have much experience with exterior modding, but I know the basics of the region generation.

Okay, granted. :check: Just post if you have any questions about this.

Don't forget to use the latest assets and the latest ESM.

Have fun. Smile

Should I make a landmass for testing the area and should I upload that landmass?

No, just make a small test area of 6*6 cells. Check this post.

Yes.
Select a spot (for the test area) with some variation (different incline), so you can check the sink values.

The only problem I have is that I can't have a long list of non-parental generated objects.

Can't help much with terrain generation since I only looked at the window briefly a few times. But I wanted to say I look forward to what you come up with blackbird! Going by your interior work I have every reason to believe you'll bring the same level of quality to your exterior work as you did to your interior. :goodjob:

My pet peeve: huge images in img code. I reserve the right to make any such image into a clickeable thumbnail whenever I see it.

I'm satisfied with my result for now.
I've found a solution for that problem.
