and I agree.... I think they should all pertain to improving the battle ability of the hortator...
so... Hlaalu would have something like helping to improve dodging...
Redoran might have improving all armor types....
Telvanni might be super-fortifying your mana or something....

well, i see two routes that we can go;

one, atribute enhancement:

Ring of the Hortator, Redoran Fortify Strength 20pts, Fortify Speed 20pts
Robe of the Hortator, Telvanni Fortify Inteligence 20pts, Fortify Willpower 20pts
Belt of the Hortator, Hlaalu Fortify Personality 20pts, Fortify Agility 20pts

two, misc enhancement

Ring of the Hortator, Redoran Raise Heavy & Light Armor 15pts
Robe of the Hortator, Telvanni Increase Max magicka
Belt of the Hortator, Hlaalu Increase chance to dogde

although i would prefer having more things like the increased chance to dodge, but i can't think of any more active ones like that....

Ring of the Hortator= Redoran Fortify Strength 10pts, Fortify Speed 5pts, Fortify endurance 15pts
Robe of the Hortator= Telvanni Fortify Intelligence 30pts, 2x max magicka
Belt of the Hortator= plus 20 sanctuary, Fortify Agility 20pts, Fprtify personality 20pts


and maybe for the Indoril one:
Fist of the Hortator= reflect 50pts, increase attack 10

and maybe the Dres one:
Collar of the Hortator= restore fatigue 20 constant, increase willpower 30 pts.

make the robe intel+20, will+20 and 1.5 times magicka, i think... and less reflect on the indoril one... and i still wish we could think of more unique, active enchantments...

We could "script" new enchantments. Something like when you wear the Hlaalu one it will summon a light suit of special bonemold armor. Just a thought

the Indoril one could summon a full suit of High Ordinator armor... unfortunately it works like bound armor so it doesn't last.... but you can feel like a High Ordinator while you have it? 3 minutes?

i would want to shy away from that, as i do something similar with the Redoran founders helm quest...

how about....
Hlaalu - Belt - increase agility 30 pts
Redoran - Ring - increase endurance 30 pts
Indoril - Glove - increase strength 30 pts
Dres - Collar - increase willpower 30 pts
Telvanni - Robe - increase intelligence 30 pts


and then, additionally, you get a special "weapon" to compliment your Hotatorship...

like the Hlaalu would offer their Hortator a special enchanted bow...
===perhaps the previous Hortator's and kept in Narsis.... ?
like the Telvanni would offer their Hortator a powerful stave...
===maybe belonging to Gothren... or a gift from Divayth Fyr
like the Redoran would offer their Hortator an ancient enchanted Longsword...
===probably the last Hortator's... and kept in Kragenmoor?
like the Dres would offer their Hortator an ancient ax
===which the Dres founder used to cut through the jungles to found Tear?
like the Indoril would offer their Hortator an ancient enchanted Idoril Shield...
===belonging to say... a previous Hortator? or Brindisi Dorom?

hey, random thought! how about a series of quests where you have to kill the opposing hortators? i dunno... i sort of popped into my head while thinking about how to get the dres and indoril trinkets...

hmm... well the Hlaalu should have to kill the Redoran and the Telvanni...
and the Redoran kills the Hlalu and Telvanni....
and Telvanni kills the Hlaalu and Redoran...

but... Redoran kill the Hortator candidates of the Indoril & Dres? :eek:

but you said "opposing Hortators" ...in my original MQ drafts you did... I neglected it in the more recent ones... and now it has popped up to haunt me for my forgetting it... aiya aiya yaiy Rolleyes

perhaps... the Redoran side can have 3 Hortators leading them...
an added bonus due to the fact that Hlaalu-Imperial navy is vasty superior to Redoran and likely Indoril....
and Telvanni have so many more (but not necessarily more powerful) allies...
