Description:
We're still (desperatly) in need of reefs around our islands. The meshes are present and we have lots of fish to fill them with life aswell. Who's up for this (I admit probably) most boring part?

Things to keep in mind:
  • Various rock and reef meshes can be used and combined, just make it look natural
  • Don't forget to fill your reefs with life. Fish and underwater plants are always a good choice.
  • Don't worry about waypoints, etc...
  • If you'd like, you might want to hide a treasure chest here and there?

I wouldn't mind making a few of these, even better if someone else helped me out. Approximately how many do we need? As many as possible?

Also, where can I download the latest version?

I might be up for doing some work on reefs - I won't need to catch up on lore or plot and it might be soothingly mindless!

Ditto Deeza: where are the resources?

You can find the latest ESM here. It's the 1.6 Masterfile. You won't need the questline to build the reefs. The meshes should be included. Windsurfer did some reefs a while ago, but they're not included in the 1.6 and I don't know wether he still has them.

Edit: Take a look at some caribean island reefs, it'll tell you how many we'll need. Basicly, the whole underwater ground around the isles has to be filled with reefs and corals. I'm not sure wether we can make that happen, but as you said: The more, the better!

Alright. I'll do the small island first then, as it will be easiest to surround, and then I'll work my way up in separate files.

Also, do the fish need pathgrids or are they animated statics? Because if they're creatures I have no clue how to set their pathways, sorry.

Right - found it.

CLAIM: City Planning and AI

From what KP says, pathgrids underwater are A Bad Thing, but that without them fish will tend to try and seek out pathgrids on land. The best plan is to have the fish seek out rocks, but that will mean scripting the fish, I suppose.

Scripting the fish won't be a problem. Just dismiss the waypoints, it'll be fine. Back to topic then :yes:
