Council Actions
Though widely known that the Telvanni's younger generation has spread troughout northern and eastern Vvardenfell settling in many abodes, the Telvanni council states that it is traditional for the Telvanni and is therefore protected by the Armistice. Therefore the Telvanni do not need the Duke's apporval to make settlements, at least, that is their claim.
The rogue wizard at Shishi was killed by Redoran; the Telvanni Council do not claim responsibility for his crime and agrees with his executation.
Tel Aruhn has become a mercenary training and slave trading city by the order of the Council. Although Telvanni trade slaves, they are used as household servants rather than laborers, unlike the Dres. The Council admits to the arming and training of mercenaries and soldiers purely for defense of their settlements; this alarms the other Houses and they urge the Duke to order the Telvanni to stop.
At the request (order) of Archmagister Aryon, the Telvanni are now told to establish friendly relations with Ashlander Tribes, betmeri, and others wandering the wastes of Vvardenfell.
Concerning ashlander tribes in the Grazelands, several years ago, when the Ashlanders were still hostile to the Telvanni, Aryon saved the Vos village from slaughter by Ashlander raiders. Remarkably few deaths resulted as he offered peace to the quickly surrounded Ashlander men who went back to their tribes with tales of the wizard's kindness. The Council has decided to protect the Ahemmusa, establish an economical partnership with the Zainab, and to establish a protocol to unite the Tribes if the need arises.
The Council is considering making a legal holding on the Azura Coast. The mushroom tower will be situated in Shashpilamat, the Daedric Shrine. The Telvanni Council pressures Duke Vedam Dren to give them official ownership of the region instead of rights of influence. This propsed stronghold will be able to watch the road going down to Odirnarin and makes the area safer for travelers... Telvanni travelers at least.
The Telvanni Council, upon hearing of an ancient war-wizard's, Sakin Kushkallit, arrival to Vvardenfell have extended their greetings and propose to allow Kushkallit to reside in Tel Aruhn and assume the role of a Councilor. Unfortunately, each attempt to persuade the wizard has been met with little success as Sakin politely refuses. The Council is still awaiting his final descision and holds a position open for the wizard.

Telvanni Territory
To the unhappiness of some members, the House Telvanni was granted a small territory, mianly along the Azura's Coast and in Zafirbel Bay. Consequently, many of the younger generation have moved into the wilds of Vvardenfell seeking to create their own abodes. Many of these have been met with hostility by natives and other Houses.

Settlements
Sadrith Mora
This city, the mushroom grove, is the district seat of House Telvanni, and home of the Telvanni Council, though only one Telvanni councilor actually lives in Sadrith Mora. Sadrith Mora is an island settlement, and accessible only by sea and teleportation. The town is large, with many craftsmen, traders, and trainers, but it is open only to Telvanni retainers; outsiders should confine themselves to the Gateway Inn.
Tel Aruhn
Tel Aruhn was the Telvanni tower of Archmagister Gothren, Telvanni Sorcerer-Lord and head of the Telvanni Council. The associated settlement is a sizable village, and the site of the Festival Slave Market, the largest slave market on Vvardenfell. It is also the military headquarters of the Telvanni and their hirelings.
Tel Mora
Tel Mora is the Telvanni tower of Mistress Dratha, an ancient wizard of the Telvanni Council. The small settlement includes a few craftsfolk and a tradehouse. It is a stepping stone that brings Telvanni from Firewatch to Vos.
Tel Vos / Vos
Tel Vos is the tower of Telvanni wizard and Archmagister Aryon. Tel Vos is a peculiar blend of Telvanni and Western architectural styles, and is close to Vos village. The fort was once Imperial though taken by Telvanni. The abode of Aryon houses barracks, a Telvanni tower, and also an Imperial museum and one for Dwemer artifacts. The Telvanni here once saved the village of Vos from an Ashlander attack, but now the Ashlanders of the Grazelands are on good terms with the Telvanni.
Tel Branora
Tel Branora is the tower and seat of the eccentric Telvanni wizard named Mistress Therana. The tower and its tiny village are located on a rocky promontory at the southeasternmost tip of Azura's Coast. It is a small settlement, with a good garrison, strategic importance, but sees little commerce.
Tel Uvirith
This is the shroom-hold of the Telvanni councilor Uvirith. Here the Ashlander tribes of Molag Amur gather to trade with the Telvanni. Tel Uvirith is known for its unique guards- Dwemer animiculi.
Tel Fyr
Tel Fyr is the Telvanni tower of Sorcerer-Lord Divayth Fyr. Beneath the tower is the Corprusarium, a refuge-prison where the deranged, distorted victims of the deadly corprus disease are housed and tended.
Military Facilities
Vas
This remote Velothi tower in the Sheogorad region has been made into a training camp for Telvanni warrior and hirelings, primarily Bosmer and Bretons. The hetman, Daris Adram runs the tower and commands the garrison.
Hanud
Treras Dres, a fromer member of House Dres, has settled in Hanud. Here he oversees the garrison and also is currently trying to drive out Dagon worshippers in nearby Indoranyon, assisstance is welcome.
Mababi
This remote Velothi Tower in the Molag Amur region is a military outpost for the Telvanni. Here recruits are trained in the harsh environment. Most of the hirelings are betmeri guerillas and the rugged landscape is perfect for their training. Reron Rinith is the hetman here.

Other
Telvanni Canton, Vivec City
This is where the vaults are located. It is also the Telvanni's diplomatic location. However, they are disappointed that they have been denied the option of growing a tower in their canton. The canton is overseen by Mavon Drenim.
Arves-Drelen, Gnisis
This is the abode of Baladas, a councilor of the Telvanni. Here he coexists in peace with the Redoran of Gnisis. Despite this, he was recently the target of a Morag Tong writ, however, the assassin failed in taking his life.
Sanni
This Velothi Tower is inhabited by a few young Telvanni sorcerers. Unfortunately for them, they are on Ahemmusa land, and though the Tribe is weak, it is strong enough to drive them out. The Councilors predict that these rash Telvanni will meet their doom while grabbing territory.
Shara
This is the home of the solitary Telvanni sorcerer, Tirer Belvayn. He was recently the target of a Morag Tong assassin, apparently someone is after him. He lives in this Velothi Tower and attempts to establish good relations with the nearby Aharasaplit Tribe. The recently invading Nords has put him in grave danger and the Council fears that this achieving young sorcerer may be killed.
Sulipund
The young Telvanni in this tower had been threatened by the Mages Guild. They are not willing to forgoe their House but are in grave danger as they are surrounded by hostile wilderness, wandering bands of Ashlanders and Redoran, and with the Mages Guild ready to take them.

Telvanni Military
The Telvanni military has always been comprised of mage-warriors and mercenaries. In the early days they traveled the mushroom forests and were also adept at hit & run attacks and ambush. Because the Telvanni as a whole are less oriented in war, their often smaller but seasoned mage-warriors and hirelings often use ambushes to defeat enemies. It has been years since the Telvanni last had a war, the last war was a short one with an Ashlander Tribe in the Grazelands, and was a relatively peaceful war, considering few people died on either side.
Telvanni warriors are equipted with Telvanni bonemold, cephalopod helm, a steel ax, and a chitin bow. Sharpshooters are equipted with better bows. Their warriors, especially higher ranking veterans do not need to adhere to the uniform and can wear and use any weapon and armor they desire (or can acquire). Often times hirelings were bosmer and bretons, but with gradual influx of betmeri has alerted the Telvanni generals. They now look to the betmeri guerillas as potential mercenaries, see that these seasoned guerillas would be a formidable allies. Normally, the Telvanni army would be comprised of a core of Telvanni warriors, supported by Bosmeri archers, and betmer and Nords as the frontline soldiery and flank support. Breton, Altmer, and Dunmer sorcerers are employed to support the already formidable magical abilities of the Telvanni Warriors.
generic troop-types:
Telvanni Guard/Soldier, Telvanni Captain, Telvanni war-mage, Bosmer Archer
Telvanni Economy
The Telvanni are mostly self-sufficient and have little in the way of economy. However, they do trade with Ashlanders and therefore encourage stronger ties with the indigenous Dunmer of Vvardenfell. The Telvanni also sell enchantments and uncommon artifacts and trinkets. The Telvanni are also the leading slave traders in the northern region though their slave trade is no where close to the size and brutality of the slave trade of House Dres.

Archmagister Aryon
This mer is a remarkable fellow. Pupil of Divayth Fyr, adept diplomat, friend-maker, and general, this Telvanni Councilor is my far the most capable. Since the death of Gothren, Aryon has become the new archmagister with the firm support of the other Councilors and also those on the mainland. He successfully established good relations with the Zainab and helped them to unite the Grazeland Ashlander Tribes. He has made the Telvanni reputation in east Vvardenfell better, first by saving Vos, then with his kindness towards Ashlanders. He has suggested the hiring of more mercenaries and has requested more soldiers from the mainland.
Plans: Aryon currently is trying to increase the power of the Telvanni through defense and diplomacy. He recognizes the threat that the returning Imperial Legions and the power of the Hlaalu pose to this, and also the extreme danger of a Triple Alliance that the Redoran, Dres, and Indoril are likely to make. Therefore he has turned much interest to the mustering of soldiers and the befriending of Ashlanders. He plans to find many allies and with guerilla tactics, brilliant military strategy, and sounds politics at home- survive what he considers to be a potential Province-wide war. He knows he needs allies, and struggles to coerce betmer, Velothi, and Telvanni to fight together. Also, the recent arrival of Sakin Kushkallit, the ashlander born Telvanni war-wizard gives Aryon hope and he sends envoys to procure Sakin's aid.
Challenges: As Aryon already knows, the Telvanni are slow to mobilize for war. They are scattered and self-sufficient, with less bond than other Great Houses, and certainly less in the way of resources. He also realizes that the solitary nature of Telvanni and their settlements make them easy targets. Though strong he knows that the Telvanni forces on Vvardenfell would not be able to use hit&run tactics to hold on forever, when forced to open combat, the Telvanni army will likely be outnumbered. He knows that although he has an economical partnership with the Zainab, shelter the Ahemmusa from hostile tribes, and his compatriot, Uvirith, is on friendly terms with the Erabenimsun and other Molag Amur tribes, these Ashlanders may not necessarily be willing to go to war with Telvanni. He recognizes the awesome damage that the betmeri guerillas could do if united, but also knows the reputation of Telvanni as slave traders does not apeal to these betmeri no matter how much Aryon attempts to change. Though many of these betmeri are hirelings, they are not bound to service and Telvanni warriors are and it will take much charisma to rally betmeri and ashlanders together as well as Telvanni.

Sorry, I can't read it all right now, but I did a quick scan, and shouldn't Tel Uvirith be under the settlements section. You have Master Uvirith up at the top, but not his house. Just pointing that out to you. See you all tomorrow.

Just looking over it for editing, errors and maybe mis information that I can see.
  • - Again it should read "Brown Book of Great House Telvanni".
    - Shouldn't the description of Tel Vos/Vos name Aryon "Archmagister", not just "coucil member"?
    - In the description od Shara, third sentence, 11th word should have a "g" added to the front to make it say "good".
    - In the biography of Aryon, second sentence, 13th word, the "o" in councilor should be lowercase.
Should also note that you talk about the saving of Vos from an Ashlanders attack in the descript of the town, and in Aryon's biography, but there's no mention of it in the "Council Actions". I just thought that it might be something of note that should probably be added in there.

Other than that, the book looks good to me.

suggestions for PC-owned-fort?

I hadn't thought of any yet... but I was thinking that where-ever-it-is, the mushroom tower should be grown into a Daedric Shrine... the ancient grey-purple and curved architecture of the Daedric Shrines will really go well with the organic architecture of the Telvanni...
like how Aryon grew a big shroom-hold in the Imperial fort and it was renamed Tel Vos...
