I just though of something. How much of a role will boats play in the mod? In a sense of war?

it depend on what you can do with boats in TES4 Oblivion...

some armies will march, others will sail...

I'm currently working out a land route that a legion patrol would go...

maybe they'd go from Ebonheart to Gnisis... and stop at every fort along the way... and then after 2 weeks in Fort Darius the company would go back to Ebonheart... kinda like checking on the forts and the people making sure everything is in order and in case any of the forts need a hand

That's one LONG trip. But it actually makes a lot of sense. How would they keep in touch with each othere otherwise? Good idea! :goodjob:

Will it be functional for player as well? If able?

I don't knoe... its an early idea....
I was thinking that there might be quests to raid the legion patrol.... but I don't know... maybe it'll work out maybe not...

its a long trip... and like you said makes sense....
although if the world is TES4 scale true, it will be smaller than Morrowind but with bigger cities within autonomous regions ...but to counter that I hope the Morrowind mods all agree to put Morrowind in its own region so we can make it a more realistic scale

How did you imagine this patrol?

I imagine it as a patrol of 50-100 Imperial legionairres that march in an orderly formation through the rough terrain of Vvardenfell.... going to the Legion Forts checking in... and then leaving a few days later....

it helps to:
- show locals that Imperials are powerful
- secure all forts on the West side
- make outlanders feel safer
- show some sort of protective attitude to make everyone feel safer
- deter 'bad guys' from doing 'bad stuff'

.... my mian concern for it is that it will be too big and complicated...

by the way... some ashlanders will probably raid the patrols...
...don't you think so?
