Sixth House plans on Vvardenfell
[needs to be updated]
much of the plans here are way out of synch with the new lore and ideas

House Dagoth, the Sixth House
Ranks: Hireling, Cultist, Oathman, Bloodbrother, Ritualist, Priest, Sacrificer, Cutthroat, Song-Mind, Dagoth
[Dagoth society was traditionally ruled by Priests and Generals. Of recent times, Dagoth members who were not dreamers or sleepers lived as barbarians like Ashlanders. Many of these were raised by Ashlanders. The House Dagoth suffered a mighty blow to their survival when Dagoth Ur and his brothers, the long time councilors of House Dagoth were killed by the Nerevarine.]
The Dagoth Council
Lord High Councilor: Dagoth Velos- Dagoth Ur Facility
Dagoth-Priests:
Dagoth Aladas- Endusal
Dagoth Tanis- Bthuand
Dagoth Malan- Odrosal
Dagoth Uvil- Kogoruhn
Dagoth Mulis- Tureynulal
Generals:
Missun Akin- Falasmaryon
Uradras- Telasero
Ilath-Pal- Barysimayn
Dagoth Nilor- Vemynal
Dagoth Hlevul- Massama

House Dagoth Council Actions
[The House Dagoth is able to communicate from afar with telepathy. This trait is unique to House Dagoth. The Council split evenly between priests and generals. A Lord High Councilor oversees the council and is the overall leader. Split between priests and warriors, the House Dagoth must come to a unanimous conclusion before taking action.]
The Dagoth Council has decided that an aggressive increase of pressure on local smugglers will be beneficial to the House. The smugglers have been coerced to smuggle weapons and armor to remote locations to be recieved by disguised Dagoth clansmen. The spreading of Ash statues has put most smuggling group in great fear of House Dagoth and willing to comply with the demands. The smugglers fear the Dagoths more than the prisons of the Imperials and would gladly smuggle for House Dagoth if threatened; in this way, the Sixth House can procure needed items and establish a connection into other Great Houses.
Due to the severely weakened marshal power of House Dagoth, the Council has ordered increased training for the clansmen and dreamers. Dagoth Ur and the Heartwights are dead, rendering morale low and chances of survival slim. All warriors are equipped with shalk or chitin. Dagoth bonemold is being manufactured and glass smuggled in.
By the order of the Council, Massama Torre has been constructed to ward off Ashlanders to the south and Bthuand has been settled to defend the northeastern border of Dagoth territory.
The Nerevarine is the greatest thread to House Dagoth, therefore agents have sowed or increased political tensions in the Great Houses to occupy the Nerevarine allowing most House Dagoth schemes to remain secret.
The Council's last desicion was the employment of a large group of priests and scholars to Tureynulal, Kagrenac's Library, to research Dwemer lore and craft. They are coordinating with scholars in Endusal, Kagrenac's Study. Animiculi construction is but one of the many things on their agenda.

House Dagoth Territory
Traditionally, the Sixth House, being friends with the Dwemer, had lived in the same lands. Most of the House Dagoth resided on what is now the island of Vvardenfell. However, there were holdings scattered throughout Morrowind until the end of the War of the First Council when House Dagoth was nearly exterminated. Now the remnants of the House has holds in the Red Mountain region, and along the Foyada Ahur-dan and Bthuand.

Dunmer Strongholds
Barysimayn- This is an ancient Dunmer fort. Dagoth Tython's uprising used it as a base of operations and it is now restored and being used once more. A great armory had been discovered and Ilath-Pal the Dagoth general is busy fortifying the hold and training warriors.
Falasmaryon- This ancient stronghold was for a long time inhabited by Dagoth clansmen. Missun Akin, the hetman of the fort was raised by Ashlanders and with his skills with the bow and experiences as an Ashlander has contributed to the success of his clansmen's raids. This ancient fort is a citadel that defends nearby Kogoruhn.
Kogoruhn- This ancient clanstead of House Dagoth is a great stronghold. The ancient halls house many warriors and Dagoths, and though guarded by Falasmaryon, the hold is quite capable of self-defense. Dagoth Uvil oversees the clansmen and cultists in Kogoruhn.
Telasero- Telasero is the southern-most Sixth House Base. Despite occasional raids from Molag Mar, Telasero has proved too strong to be taken. Uradras the Dagoth general of Telasero has trained his forces to the pinnacle of their class of soldier. They are also fanatical in their defense and can be relied on to fight to their deaths.
Red Mt. Crater Forts
Dagoth Ur Facility- This was the workshop of Kagrenac the ForeMer and his Mage-smiths. Dagoth Ur later made this his abode. Although the Nerevarine had fought through a part of it and destroyed/freed the Heart of Lorkhan in the Chamber of Akulakhan, much of the Facility had not been explored and Dagoth minions still control the place. Lord High Councilor Dagoth Velos resides in Dagoth Ur Facility.
Endusal, Kagrenac?s Study- Dagoth Aladas heads this
Odrosal, Training Academy- This Dwemer settlement is now ruled by Dagoth Malan. Here Dagoth warriors are trained rigorously in magic and warfare.
Tureynulal, Kagrenac?s Library- Dagoth Mulis oversees the operations at Tureynulal. Priests and scholars of House Dagoth search through the libraries for the secrets of the Dwemer and their lore and craft.
Vemynal, Outer Fortress- This stronghold is led by Dagoth Nilor. Here Dwemer Centurions are activated and tested. Animiculi are constructed carefully from the directions given by scholars at Tureynulal. This Dwemer settlement serves as a stronghold and a sentry to keep watch on Redoran beginning to travel in the Red Mt. region.
Other Holdings
Bthuand- This is a Dwemer facility in the northeastern ashlands. Dagoth Tanis rules this tower and a small garrison is kept here. It monitors the eastern ashland area. It is also a beacon to warn the rest of the Dagoth holds in case of a Nordic landing in the ashlands.
Massama Torre- A Torre is a sort of tower. Often times it is built into a hill and is sometimes a squat and small hill-fort rather than a spire. Massama Torre is named after the nearby caverns. This small defensive location watches Foyada Ashur-dan and is a sentry against raiding Ashlander Tribes of Molag Mar and possibly aggressive Grazeland Tribes. Dagoth Hlevul oversees the operations of Massama Torre.
Nomadic 6th House:
These members of the Sixth House still live as the barbarian tribes did long ago. They now camp near the three main Foyadas and prey on the Houses and Velothi. They are cruel warriors, giving no quarter and expecting none. They are among the most powerful of Dagoth warriors save the higher up Sleepers and the Bellringers. Though they live much like Ashlanders, their yurts are slightly different as is their clothing... though few settled Dunmer can tell the difference. They have been relatively quiet during the time of Dagoth Ur, sending only members to smuggle ash statues into cities and posing as ashlanders which they virtually are in most aspects. Now they once again fight openly as 6th House members begin to rebel in remote places.
Bani-dad Clan- this tribe routinely travels along the Foyada Bani-dad raiding Maar Gan and Ashlander Camps. Often they will bring along dreamers and sleepers from Falasmaryon and Khogoruhn. However the warrior-town of Shishi now blocks their passage and the Redoran warriors are more experienced than many others in fighting the 6th House.
Mamaea Clan- this tribe is known to use the Foyada Mamaea as a road but do not actually use it much. Normally they dwell in the southern ashlands near Barysimayn. However when on the war-path they travel swiftly down the Foyada Mamaea and raid local towns. Of late more soldiers are patrolling the Ascadian Isles farmlands, to the annoyance of these barbarians.
Ashur-dan Clan- this tribe travels the Ashur-dan. Like the Mamaea Clan, these clans use Barysimayn as a base of operations. These clans raid the Grazelander Velothi and the Molag Amur Velothi. Recently is has had a brutal confontation with an Erabenimsun-Telvanni warband training in the region.

House Dagoth Military
House Dagoth has been known for its tenacity in battles. The soldiery of Dagoth is now spread into two groups. Irregulars serve as raiders and frontline troops to take the brunt of the enemy attack. These troops are composed of dreamers, Ash zombies/slaves, and lower members of House Dagoth. The second class of fighter is the Footsoldier. Ash Ghouls and House Dagoth Warriors, many of which live in barbaric nomad warbands, comprise this class of the Footsoldier. These troops are the heavier fighters supporting the Irregulars. The Irregulars serve as raiders and guerillas when split into smaller groups and as tactically flexible hordes when amassed. The Irregulars are just that and are trained to break into groups and flee if a battle is lost to hide and regenerate for another battle; the footsoldiers are trained to fight doggedly and tenaciously, disregarding pain and defeat, though will flee if necessary. Corprus monsters and mind-controlled beasts are often released ahead of the army due to their unreliability. The armory of the Sixth House is informal and varied. Warriors wear whatever is suitable for them, but Irregular tend to be lightly armed and regulars well armed if not well armored. The Sixth House military uses mostly raids, only engagin in field warfare if in their favor.
There is a special warrior that is not a military troop, it is the Bell-ringer. This warrior serves as a shrine guard and one guards each shrine within each Sixth House base. They are extremely capable warriors. Their armor varies but they all carry Ball Hammers as they also serve in ceremonies where Dagoth Bells are employed. They are likely to be some of the greatest warriors and are to be feared even by foolhardy adventurers and zealous Ordinators alike.

House Dagoth Economy
House Dagoth does not have a real economy. However, House Dagoth was a House that was known for smugglers, agents, assassins, and treachery. The Sixth House has great indirect influence on smugglers. Although Dagoth Ur is dead, the new Dagoth has attuned his telepathy and is now able to speak to his minions directly via telepathy or through shrines and Ash-statues. A portion of the smuggled goods is secretly given to Dagoth clansmen. Ash statues and Sixth House motifs and symbols are secretly spread, increasing House Dagoth's influence and also the number of people interested in joining the lost House.

Dagoth Velos
Dagoth Velos was an Ashlander-born Sixth House descendant. At a young age, he heard a rythmic song in his head, and whisperings in his sleep. They were not particularly disturbing, but when he told his tribe's wise-woman, he was abandoned at a shrine of Sheogorad. He was rescued by his clansmen of the Sixth House. He participated in several raids and killings and also became a powerful warrior and magician. As Dagoth Ur spread his Blight, Velos embraced the corprus and rose to become a sort of Ascended Sleeper. It is said that he had rose farther but it is unknown outsiders what that stage would be. He wants to see the Sixth House restored, and since the fall of Dagoth Ur and his Ash Vampires, Dagoth Velos had assumed the role of Lord High Councilor and has ushered the Sixth House into a new age with new leaders.
Plans: Dagoth Velos hopes to restore the House Dagoth. In order to do so, the wandering exiles must be gathered, scattered cultists and dreamers marshaled, and clansmen reunited. He hopes to make a formidable fighting force out of the remnants of House Dagoth and everyone, male and female, must fight for their House and their lives. He has put pressure on smuggling groups to deliver weaponry, armor and supplies to the underground Sixth House movement. Although no longer such a great threat, the Great House Dagoth is deeply entrenched in its holds and cannot be taken without much death, something the other Houses, the Temple, and the Imperials hesitate to do as they are all entangled in their own internal affairs and disorder. Velos has ordered the training of assassins and agents to allow House Dagoth to sow discord among the Great Houses. He foresees a Great House War and due to House Dagoth's extremely tenable position, he believes that when the war is over, House Dagoth can emerge to take Vvardenfell as their own and establish their own lands. He wants to make Vvardenfell a land of House Dagoth as the other Great Houses have their own territories and Vvardenfell could become a stronghold of the Sixth House.
Challenges: There is one major threat to House Dagoth- The Nerevarine. Daedric Worshippers returning in great numbers are of course a great concern, and increased Ordinator attacks on Sixth House bases is frustrating, but it was the Nerevarine who killed Dagoth Ur, the Heartwights, freed the Heart and is meant to end the Tribunal Temple. If the Nerevarine is able to gather enough support, then House Dagoth will be besieged and raided to the point of extinction. Dagoth Velos knows this and is afraid of this possibility. However, he is doubtful that the Nerevarine will be able to gather the support necessary to storm the Sixth House bases. The Ordinators are loath to coordinate with him and he is no longer Hortator as Dagoth Ur is gone. The Great Houses are too entangled in their political strife to bother with the deeply entrenched and remote Sixth House. In Dagoth Ur's time, the great army of cultists and monsters was spread thinly throughout Vvardenfell in hidden bases. Unfortunately, many had been discovered and sacked by groups of Ordinators and Buoyant Armigers, the Imperial Legion, and local warriors. With so many enemies, House Dagoth will need to be very strategic and perhaps so small luck to survive.

Ugg, so much to read. Are you planning on doing one of these for every faction, or just the biggest most important ones?

I'll post more about the above when I get to finishing it. :poorme:

Well, I just finished reading it and found nothing really wrong at all. Looks good to me! :goodjob:

One question though. Does Dagoth Velos look like an Ascended Sleeper? Or do they revert back to a more normal look when they become of higher rank?

Ascended Sleepers are the highest level of enlightenment... however... it is rumored that Ash Poets are higher... maybe more able to manipulate their power... and Ash Vampires are higher than that... second to Dagoth Ur....
except the Ash Vampires were his brothers...

maybe Dagoth Velos would be an Ash Poet?

Big Grin, it's all good...

TES3: Morrowind- main quest: Sixth House Base

Quote: Dagoth Gares
:Sixth House servants:
"Forgive the rude welcome, but until you have declared for us, we must treat you as our enemy. The Sleepers and Dreamers are newly come to Lord Dagoth, and not yet blessed with his power. But the Children of His Flesh, they are deep in the heart of his mysteries. Their bodies swell to contain his glory, and to yield the rich sacraments of our Lord's feasts. And we are the least of his servants, for Ash Poets, Ascended Sleepers, and Ash Vampires stand high above us in the Lord's bountiful grace."

it doesn't specifically say what the ranking is... but I suppose Ash Poet and Ascended Sleepers are closer and Ash Vampires HIGH up... and considering you never see an Ash Poet in-game... I think they may be higher up than Ascended Sleepers...
