With strong normal maps, it strikes me that RW's cave sets could be retexed with these crystalline textures and make for some really interesting caves.

That could make for a really cool cave set, but with the caveat that such a set be used sparsely, and not without a very good explanation as to why it is there.
In other words, it would work amazingly for a plane of oblivion, a special chamber of a mine, perhaps a religious shrine-type cave. And it is an amazing texture Leader of the Morag Tong Hail Mephala

Those are really nice textures. One thing that could cause problems are the highlights on them, which could look a bit odd with Oblivion's dynamic lighting.
I think the last one would be well suited for gem/ore bearing rocks for different mines. |
